In Kirk Ireton and Ashbourne, you’ll find local pubs and restaurants, with a range of styles and prices. This list is not exhaustive, but these are all places that we can highly recommend. The pubs and restaurants on this list are well-known and respected in the local area.

Once you have chosen where you would like to eat, we advise making a booking as soon as possible. These pubs and restaurants are usually busy.  As Kirk Ireton is in a rural location, none of the places to eat are within comfortable walking distance when dining out in the evening. Some can be incorporated if you are following our list of circular walks, and may be perfect for lunch during the day.

Taking your dog

As per our T&Cs, your dog must never be left alone or unattended inside Heather Cottage.  Many of our recommended eateries have dog-friendly areas where you can enjoy your meal.  These are highlighted on the above list, but please double-check when making your reservation.
