Heather Cottage – a luxury self catering cottage offering stunning accommodation near ashbourne
Heather Cottage is a self catering cottage offering luxury accommodation justa few miles out of the picturesque village of Ashbourne. Ashbourne is known as ‘The gateway to the Peak District’, and much of the White Peak parts of this stunning National Park is a few miles away (the ‘Dark Peak’ side of the Peak District is around 30 minutes drive).
Heather Cottage offers couples fine accommodation in a quiet rural village. The cottage has a single bedroom (so we’re not suitable for families) and is ideal for a short break or a week away. We’ve spared no expense in equipping Heather Cottage with charming features and decor. Its finished to a very high standard and was only recently converted in late 2016, so everything is still new and pristine.
The old world cottage appearance gives way to tasteful furnishings, period features, and a cosy feel. Perfect for couples seeking self catering accommodation of a slightly different class.
We really wanted Heather Cottage to stand out as first class accommodation.when we designed it. So, we spared no expense and used our previous experiencing gained with creating Dannah Farm to provide guests and couples with something truly special. Soe of the features include an outdoor hot-tub and a six foot hand made bed.
The village location of Kirk Ireton is perfect for many travellers or holiday seekers. It’s a quaint and charming village just a few miles from the Ashunique market town of Ashbourne. However, being at the foot of the Peak District means it also has excellent surrounding countryside, places to visit, and things to do. It’s also close to major towns and cities such as Derby and Buxton (20-30 minute drive), Bakewell, Matlock, and many more. Attractions such as Alton Towers, Gullivers Kingdon, the Blue John Mines, Railway and Tram Museums, Theatres and more are within a 30-minute drive.
