Dannah Farm is an award winning and well known luxury B&B ran by the Slack Family. Joan Slack, along with daughter in law Helen, also owns Dannah Cottages. Surrounded by beautiful countryside Dannah offers it’s guests the chance to escape the noise, crowds, and pressures of everyday life. With award winning accommodation, personal service, wonderful food and attention to detail that is second to none, a stay at Dannah Farm surely is an experience to remember.
Dannah Farm is our sister website, and offers a luxury B&B on the borders of the peak District, in the Derbyshire Dales. Dannah is no ordinary family Bed and Breakfast. The award winning rooms are exquisitely decorated and designed to the highest standards. Dannah has won multiple awards from prestigious websites and organisations, including Britain’s Best Breaks, the AA, the RAC and more. It’s idyllic surroundings, untouched luxury, and its peaceful setting make it popular year after year.
Dannah offers Hot Tubs, romantic rooms, split level suites, private spa’s and more.. All of the rooms are designed and built to offer traditional styling with a contemporary twist. There are rooms and suites to suit all tastes and pockets, and range from our standard (but still superb) rooms, through to Garden Rooms, private decked areas, rooms with Hot Tubs, whirlpool baths, hand made beds, oak beamed ceilings.. the list goes on.
Located in Amber Valley, high above The National Heritage corridor, Dannah Farm is nestled in the picturesque little village of Shottle just below Alport Heights with its panoramic views over the surrounding six counties, Cheshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Delight your partner with a stay in the “Studio Hideaway” or “Graary” suites each with their own private terrace and outdoor hot-tubs, “The Ecclesbourne” with private sauna, or “The Garden Room” with sumptuous four poster bed, and bathroom with huge double spa bath.
Why not try our private spa facilities? The Spa Cabin or the Secret Garden. Both of which are bookable, by the day, for exclusive use, along with any bedroom.
More informal than other Derbyshire Dales Hotels, but much more than an average B&B, Dannah is perfectly located to enjoy the many and varied attractions the area has to offer. Dannah is seemingly lost amidst an almost forgotten, stunning rural landscape, yet close to major road networks and only 20 minutes from the M1. Still a working farm, there are 154 acres to explore, including a medieval moat, “The Mottes”. The farmhouse at Dannah dates from the late 1700’s, the majority of the converted buildings being even older.
